Rant
I was going to rant about Haliburton, New Orleans, Alaska Wilderness, war on drugs, pills for the aged, clear cutting forests, charging for public parks, giving away mineral rights to public lands, voting machines sans paper trail, stealing elections, foreign companys running our ports, Patriot acts, torturing, rendition, trashing whistle blowers, Congressional reform, illegal wiretapping, constant mendacity, defict spending, tax breaks for the rich, Republican lobbiest, lack help for Africa, religious posturing, hubris, women's rights, but what is the use, oh yea I almost forgot the war in Iraq. If you feel like leaving a rant do so in the comments section.

Hey, we get the kind of government we deserve. The disconnect between how people vote and not recognizing the consequences they pay for that vote are astounding. How many mothers who have had their offspring come home from Iraq missing an arm or leg or more make the connection that it is only and directly because of their vote? How many young, white-trash low income blue collar males who voted for Bush realize the tax cuts he provided to millionaires but not to them? How many of you reading this complain about the administration, but do nothing positive to change the situation, such as volunteer, write the Editor, or donate money to groups like MoveOn.org? And finally, how the HELL can Bush's poll ratings be going down???? How could ANYONE have voted for him and now be disappointed in what he is? The country got EXACTLY WHAT WAS PROMISED. Who can look at the Katrina video and not see the same stupid befuddled look on Bush's face that he had after he learned of the 9-11 attacks? We're a country of morons, and we've chosen one of our own to lead us.
Hey 4 putt, My first comment and it is heartfelt. Thanks for your thoughts, you know I agree with you.
