Iditarod starts

The dog teams began mushing their way along an Anchorage road on Saturday. Alaskan mushers make up most of the 83-team field, but Norwegians have won two of the last three races.
The teams of more than 1,300 dogs will make their way over more than 1,100 miles of snowy tundra, mountain ranges and frozen seas before arriving in Nome.
The top 30 finishers will split a pot of roughly $800,000
